
The Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kancheepuram, located in Chennai, has invited an e-tender for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 60 kW on-grid solar power inverter.
This is a single-bid system with prequalification criteria. A pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on 21st March 2025. The last date for submission of bids is 31st March 2025. The technical bid will be opened on 1st April 2025.
The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) required is ₹12,000, which must be paid through SBI E-Collect. Alternatively, bidders with a valid Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) exemption certificate can submit it instead of the EMD. The Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) or security deposit for the successful bidder will be 7.5% of the contract value. The EMD for unsuccessful bidders will be refunded within 30 days of the work order issuance.
The tender specifies that bidders must have experience in installing similar solar power plants and inverters, preferably in government or reputed corporate institutions, with at least one project worth ₹1.90 lakh or two projects worth ₹1.20 lakh each or three projects worth ₹0.95 lakh each, excluding GST.
The successful contractor will be responsible for completing the work within 30 working days from the commencement date. The warranty period for the solar inverter is 60 months from the date of satisfactory installation. The inverter should have 4 MPPTs, input voltage between 180V and 1000V, and meet all TNERC regulations. The eligible makes for the inverter include Havells, Polycab, Goodwe, Thea, and Kaco.
The Institute reserves the right to cancel or reject any or all bids without assigning any reason. The contractor must also sign a detailed contract agreement and start the work within seven working days of receiving the work order.
