The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Chairperson and CEO Monalisa C. Dimalanta presented the Commission’s key achievements and regulatory priorities for 2025 during a meeting with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) .
Addressing the ECCP’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RE and EE) Committee, Chairperson Dimalanta outlined the ERC’s ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting energy democracy. She highlighted the issuance of the Omnibus Rules for Customer Choice Programs and the Commission’s intensified efforts to resolve longstanding case delays and backlogs.
The discussion also explored potential collaboration between the European business community in the Philippines and the ERC in advancing renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives. The meeting was attended by ECCP RE and EE Committee Co-Chairpersons Atty. Jay Layug Jr. and Ruth Yu-Owen.
The ERC remains focused on regulatory reforms and strategic partnerships to enhance the country’s energy landscape and drive sustainable development.
