The newly established unit will integrate ENGIE’s renewable energy assets with Indian customers and markets, providing customized energy solutions across sectors. This initiative is expected to optimize energy procurement, lower costs, and enhance sustainability for businesses.

Speaking on the occasion, Amit Jain, CEO & Country Manager, India, emphasized the significance of this expansion. “We are proud to strengthen our commitment to India’s energy transition with the inauguration of our Supply and Energy Management business. This will help Indian corporations navigate the evolving power landscape efficiently. As a global leader in renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), ENGIE remains dedicated to delivering sustainable and long-term energy solutions.”

ENGIE’s Commitment to India’s Renewable Growth
ENGIE has been a key player in India’s energy sector for over 30 years, with a decade-long focus on renewable energy. Currently, the company operates a 2.3GW solar and wind portfolio and aims to expand its renewable energy capacity in India to 7GW by 2030. Additionally, ENGIE is exploring new technologies, including battery storage and hybrid renewables, to further enhance India’s green energy landscape.

Bernd Dinauer, Head of ENGIE’s Supply & Energy Management activities in India, highlighted the importance of this initiative. “By leveraging our expertise in power markets and optimizing renewable assets, we aim to offer Indian businesses world-class, reliable, and renewable energy solutions. This marks a major step in building a sustainable and prosperous energy industry in India.”

Tailored Energy Solutions Across Industries
ENGIE differentiates itself in the Indian energy market by offering a broad spectrum of solutions, including asset optimization, risk management, LNG supply, power procurement, and decarbonization strategies. These solutions cater to multiple industries, such as manufacturing, commercial real estate, and industrial operations, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable energy access.

Edouard Neviaski, ENGIE Executive Vice President, reinforced the company’s commitment to India’s renewable energy ambitions. “India has been a pivotal market in ENGIE’s renewables strategy, and this new office strengthens our capabilities in Supply & Energy Management. Our goal is to provide innovative solutions that contribute significantly to the region’s sustainable development.”

Strengthening Indo-French Energy Cooperation
The expansion also reflects the strong Indo-French collaboration in renewable energy. HE Mr. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, congratulated ENGIE on this milestone. “The launch of ENGIE’s Supply & Energy Management activities in India highlights the growing energy partnership between France and India. Companies like ENGIE are playing a crucial role in driving clean energy solutions, reinforcing India’s dynamic energy sector and commitment to a sustainable future.”

With this strategic expansion, ENGIE continues to position itself as a key player in India’s renewable energy transformation, delivering advanced energy solutions and reinforcing its role as a trusted partner in the country’s green energy journey.
